I bring my open-mindedness, compassion, and honesty to our work together. I think the path towards healthier and happier relationships is through increased understanding and curiosity about our own and others’ feelings and behaviors. I work to create a safe, non-judgmental space where experiences, feelings, and wishes can be expressed, and traumas can be healed. As we make sense of our struggles and experiences, we gain a deeper understanding and acceptance of our self, which I believe leads to new possibilities towards living a more meaningful life.
My areas of expertise are in child, adolescent, and family work. My clinical trainings and experience has focused on child and family work using Mentalization-Based Treatment, Mindful and Reflective parenting, as well as play therapy and other creative interventions that incorporate art as a form of expression and connection.
I majored in Rhetoric at UC Berkeley and earned my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University. I earned my certification in drug and alcohol counseling at UCLA Extension, gaining experience in working with co-occurring disorders, trauma, harm reduction strategies, and crisis & case management. I serve on the leadership committee at the Center for Reflective Communities, a Los Angeles non-profit that promotes healthy family relationships by training clinicians, facilitating parenting groups, and conducting empirical research.
